DimaL, ну мы вроде как и поняли. Видишь ли, власти, террористы и т.п. - это тоже часть страны. Я к тому, что прежде чем разбираться с тем, что такое "peaceful", надо разобраться с тем, что такое "country"

По-моему тут писфул - это в данном случае об уровне внутренней и внешней агрессии. И не только со стороны правительства, а просто, как о параметре среды так сказать

Вот уж писфул - не смешите. И дня не было еще, чтоб банды не перестреливались и бомбы не находили. Даже сегодня ночью в Клондалкине из нескольких домов писфул жителей эвакуировали, потому что другие писфул граждане где-то что-то вроде бомбы припрятали.
Я по долгу службы в "новостях" живу. Иногда просто мурашки по коже от того, насколько все вокруг писфул.

Dublin: Houses evacuated after discovery of suspicious device

A number of houses in the Clondalkin area of west Dublin were evacuated for a time this morning following the discovery of a suspicious device.

The object was spotted beneath a car in Lindisfarne Vale shortly after midnight.

It is believed to have been on fire on at the time.

Army bomb disposal experts were called to the scene and removed the device for further examination, but it is unclear whether it was a hoax or a viable bomb.

Irish soldiers recorded pointing guns at Liberian locals

The Defence Forces have reportedly launched an investigation into video footage of Irish soldiers pointing their guns at a group of local people in Liberia.

The video, which has appeared on the internet, shows two soldiers pretending to fire their guns at the locals.

It appears to have been a prank as the tape is dubbed with fake machine-gun sounds.

However, reports this morning say the Defence Forces are investigating whether the incident represents a breach of rules on the misuse of weapons.

Irish soldiers had been serving in Liberia as part of a UN peacekeeping mission, but the last contingent left the country this week.

A 25-year-old man is in a critical condition in hospital following a shooting incident in Blanchardstown this morning.

The incident occurred at a house at Fortlawn Park at around 5.30am.

A man called to the house and shot the victim in the neck before escaping on a motorcycle.

AdvertisementAt 5.35am, a Garda unit found a motorcycle on fire at Sheepmore Grove. It is possible that this motorcycle was used in the crime and it is being technically examined.

The scene at Fortlawn Park is also sealed off for a technical examination.

The injured man was removed to Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown, where his condition is described as critical.

Army bomb disposal experts were called to the scene after a suspicious device was found during a search of the house on Mount Olive Road at around 9am.

However, they found that device was not dangerous and declared the incident a false alarm.

Gardaн in Dublin are investigating a pipe bomb attack on a house in the north inner city last night.

The device was thrown at the rear of a house in Rutland Court at around 10pm.

It exploded on a balcony and blew out the windows, but none of the 10 people inside at the time were injured in the blast.

It is unclear if the attack was linked to another pipe bomb explosion outside a house in the Finglas area on Sunday night.

That attack is believed to have been connected to a serious feud between two criminal factions in Sherriff Street area of the north inner city.

The feud was prompted by the rape of a young girl by a leading gang member.

перечитал. ну то есть не каждый день, да? а всего 2 случая за неделю и ни одной жертвы. короче, не надо было преувиличивать.

посмотрите подобную же статистику, скажем, по Питеру (кстати сравнимому с Ирландией населением). или хоть по Парижу.

никто и не говорит, что здесь нет преступности и т.п...

An 18-year-old youth has been wounded in a gun attack in Limerick.

He was in a car in the Moyross area when three shots were fired at him shortly before 9pm.

He is said to be in a stable condition in hospital.

The female driver of the car escaped injury.

A technical examination at the scene of the shooting is now completed. The vehicle involved was also removed for technical examination.

Gardaí from Mayorstone Park Garda Station are investigating.

Meanwhile, Gardaí in Dublin are investigating a shooting incident in the Clondalkin area overnight.

At least one shot was fired at the front door of a house on Moorefield Avenue, Clondalkin.

Two people who were in the house at the time were not injured
