Я в январе 2011 года написала письмо в газету Irish Independent, его опубликовали. Такое же письмо написала своей ТД, может что-то изменится к лучшему?

Today I read in your newspaper that Ireland lost 15% of tourists in 2010, most from the UK.
Why not take another country as an example of how to invite more tourists.
Let’s look at Cyprus. As a native Russian I know that before 2004 (when Cyprus visas were introduced) a lot of Russians had holidays there. In 2004 Cyprus lost approximately 90% of Russian tourists, but there were enough UK tourists. In 2008-2009 Cyprus lost many UK tourists because of the crisis.
From the beginning of 2010 Cyprus introduced a new procedure for Russians to apply for a single tourist visa online. After obtaining the approval online tourists receive their visas in the airport on arrival.
Before 2010 it was a problem for people from small towns to obtain visas, because Cyprus has embassies only in big cities. As a result of this change more than 100,000 tourists from Russia came to Cyprus in 2010.
Summer of 2010 was very hot in Russia, many people wanted to take a break in other countries where the climate was not so extreme.
Why not change the rules for single tourist visas and allow online application?
Prices in Irish shops are cheaper than in Moscow, why not invite Russians for summer sales?
