Job Title - Microsoft Technical Team Lead

Duties and Responsibilities

Key tasks include:

• Manage the software development team delivering global, web-based trading applications
• Control software development activities on a day-to-day basis
• Plan, estimate and resource significant components of overall project delivery plans, work closely with the project manager
• Manage, schedule, monitor, and report on the various work packages assigned to the team
• Design and Development of technical components
• Monitor technical accuracy and quality of software produced
• Ensure effective methodologies are used in the software development team
• Develop, manage and maintain effective relationships with other teams and individuals

Knowledge and Experience

Qualifications:
Third-level I.T qualification or equivalent experience.

Experience:

• Experience in development of applications using.NET Framework.
• Full project lifecycle experience, from Requirements through to Deployment.
• At least 5 years practical experience of .NET system design and development
• At least 3 to 5 years experience of managing a technical team of up to 10 resources, including career development and performance management.
• SQL Server 2005 / 2008 experience required.

Technical Skills:

• MS .NET Framework
• MS Sharepoint 2007
• MS Active Directory
• MS SQL Server 2005 / 2008 Database Experience
• MS SSIS, SSAS and Reporting Services
• MS Team Foundation Server experience desirable
• SQL Server 2005 / 2008 Database Experience
• Oracle Database 10G skills desirable.

Other Skills:

• Understanding of insurance processes is desirable.
• Project Management certification desirable.
