Tester Position - Junior . North Dublin - area.
Candidates should have a good understanding of software quality assurance principles. Ideally they
should previously have worked in a software quality role for at least 1 year and have a good
understanding of Windows desktop applications and database administration, configuration and
testing. We will consider applications from recent graduates who wish to pursue a career in IT quality
assurance.
Candidates need to be team focused and able to work effectively with both developers and other parts
of the Input Systems organisation.

Responsibilities
· Specifying test scenarios for product testing.
· Running comprehensive test suites on software releases.
· Writing test reports.
· Working with developers to identify and resolve problems.
· Maintaining QA test lab – configuration, disk imaging, virtual machines etc.
· Supporting other departments’ activities - including Support.

Essential skills
· Third level qualification in computer or business related (with significant IT component)
discipline.
· Good practical understanding of QA.
· Database configuration – preferably Microsoft Sql Server.
· Languages: SQL, TSQL
· Operating systems: Microsoft Windows 2000/XP/2003
· Interpersonal – able to work in a team focused environment – communicate effectively (both
written and verbal) – methodical – good time management – quick learner.
· Process focussed – issue tracking, source management, documentation.

Additional / desirable skills
· Familiar with financial / accounting packages.
· Understanding of basic business processes.
· Familiarity with Delphi development environment.
· Familiarity with Pascal programming.
· Understanding of test automation tools.
· Scripting languages: e.g. Vba, bash, Python. Perl
