The Global Controller Operations (GCO) Team is a key part of Oracle’s World Class Finance organisation in EMEA. This progressive and innovative team comprises a dynamic group of approximately 100 financial professionals responsible for Oracle’s revenue accounting, internal management reporting, business analysis, external statutory reporting, US & local compliance, as well as mergers and acquisitions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oracle is looking for a Senior Accountant to join the GCO CIS Region. The Senior Accountant is a key member of the Controller group and has the following main responsibilities:-
• Ownership of the month, quarter and year end USGAAP reporting close
• Ensuring that all balance sheet account reconciliations are reviewed and are accurate and that any necessary follow up is done on a timely basis
• Leading all local country compliance ( including statutory audit and financial statements preparation, VAT, Corporate Tax, Sarbanes Oxley reporting, statistical reporting etc) & ensuring all filings and payments are made timely
• Identification and analysis of all material profit and loss account and balance sheet variances
• Completion of due diligence & integration accounting for acquisitions
• Development and maintenance of relationships with Corporate, GFIC, Business Finance and other Oracle Partners;
• Ensure that Oracle’s Global Finance Policies are applied & followed in all areas of finance, including globalised & localized process areas: Order to Cash, Source to Settle, Treasury & Cash Management.
• Participation in EMEA and Global (cross country) Strategic Initiatives and Projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES (Senior Accountant –CIS):

• Understand the fiscal structure for each of the legal entities represented in the CIS region
• Review current localized accounting processed to ensure compliance with Oracle’s Finance Policies across a number of subsidiaries in the CIS region
• Implement Oracle Finance policy & procedures where control risks are identified
• Understand Oracle’s procedures for standardized process areas and identify process improvements where Oracle applications are not implemented
• Understand the current requirements for standardized processes and liaise with Global Process organizations to implement functional alignment of activities to correct global process ownership
• Management of US GAAP reporting & close cycle for a number of CIS subsidiaries, working with local points of contact to understand accounting deliverables
• Understand the accounting processes and systems implemented locally and impact to US GAAP reporting.
• Understand RAP generally accounting standard, provide /review reconciliation of US GAAP/RAP/TAX books.
• Review monthly close process for local accounting inputs to identify areas to improve efficiency, reconciliation review
• Perform review of general accounting activities which are performed locally and centralize as appropriate

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Russian professional accounting qualification essential with 4-5 years post qualification experience;
• ACCA or CIMA qualification would be an advantage
• Fluency in English & Russian;
• Must have detailed working knowledge of both RAS and USGAAP reporting;
• Proficient in use of 1C Accounting Software
• Ability to effectively work within a team and communicate with remote teams;
• Excel at working in ambiguous situations
• Strong Problem identification and solving abilities
• Prior experience within a multinational environment an advantage
