Business Objects Reporting Specialist

Responsibilities
• This position will utilize Business Objects and Web Intelligence to design, develop, and maintain reports based on business unit requirements. It will also involve using Designer to create, implement and maintain universes.
• The focus is on performing analysis of requests for reports, identifying currently available reports and developing new reports as needed to fulfill business needs while working directly with functional and technical team members.
• The role will include designing and developing web-based Business Objects reporting infrastructures to meet the requirements of customer projects, in addition to working with database specialists to design and develop database architectures to support efficient reporting.

Skills and Experience
• Accomplished Business Objects and Web Intelligence report design experience (at least 3 years) with in-depth knowledge of Designer and Supervisor.
• Experience (at least 3 years) of Business Objects and Web Intelligence report development with Oracle, including SQL and PL/SQL.
• Experience (at least 3 years) of deploying and maintaining Business Objects and Web Intelligence applications in an Oracle and Windows environment.
• Knowledge of Business Intelligence and data warehousing principles and techniques.
• Familiarity with Business Objects scheduling capabilities (Broadcast Agent Server).
• Knowledge of APIs for Broadcast Agent Server and Web Intelligence (VB, Java).
• Ability to build business partnerships with users & clients and to work as part of a combined functional and technical team.
• Ability to guide and mentor junior engineers and to transfer knowledge to team members and customers.
• Strong technical and analytical skills are required in order to extract user requirements, and apply the optimum solutions.
• Strong interpersonal skills are essential.
