Westlink M50 toll barriers may go

Toll operator, NTR, is considering removing barriers on the
Westlink Toll Bridge on the M50 motorway to help speed up traffic.

RTE reported this morning that the suggestion was made as part of
a presentation to the Minister for Transport, Martin Cullen, last
May by the directors of NTR, the private company which owns the
bridge.
The proposal is to scrap the barriers and charge drivers by
prepaid toll or electronically
