Senior GUI (Rich Client) Developer - Westmeath

This is a permanent opportunity to be based on a customer site. The customer is a world-leading provider of telecommunications equipment and related services to Mobile and Broadband network operators globally.


Requirements for the Rich Client Developer:

We expect you to have 5+ years of professional work experience in developing rich client applications in a range of rich client technologies including AJAX, WPF/Silverlight and Flash/Flex

Excellent knowledge of UI development in web standards technologies (mandatory): HTML, CSS and JavaScript (AJAX).

Excellent knowledge of UI development in Flash/Flex and/or WPF/Silverlight


Client Knowledge Areas:

UI design considerations (usability, accessability)
Web-based deployment options e.g. Adobe Air
Browser platforms and compatibility issues
HTML5 technologies and techniques
Web-based authentication and security mechanisms
Geographic Information System (GIS) software would be very beneficial
Java and GWT would be considered a bonus

The successful applicant is expected to be a self motivated and to take a leadership role in guiding the team in the development of world class client applications. This position is based in Westmeath.
