"Business Information Analyst ( PERMANENT ROLE )
Location: Dublin South

Job Purpose
The Business Information Analyst will be responsible for maintaining departmental activity reports and statistics and also analysing these to identify trends and patterns leading to improvement recommendations. The role will involve working closely with all technical teams to develop solutions for implementing the recommendations, always with the goal of improving customer service and enhancing stability, reliability and availability of the services provided.

This role reports to the Service Support Team Leader in the Operations Department but will have a shared focus between the Operations and Application Maintenance Departments.


Principal Accountabilities

· Produce management level reporting and analysis of systems and applications incidents
· Coordinate all systems capacity planning activities with the technical teams

· Work closely with systems technicians and Management to evaluate existing IT processes to improve efficiency and productivity

· Perform audits and quality reviews within the Operations and Application Maintenance departments. This will involve ensuring the quality of technical solutions provided to the customer, quality of Service Desk call management and documentation, adherence to audit requirements

· Ensure documentation in the Operations and Application Maintenance departments is kept up to date

· Manage small scale internal projects, as defined and scoped by Management.



Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Knowledge

· The Business Operations Analyst should ideally have a technical background sufficient to understand the relevant technologies in place (particularly LAN/WAN, IBM iSeries and xSeries, VMWare, etc.)
· Experience of working with diverse teams (technical and non-technical), reporting to their own line managers

· Some experience and application of project management techniques

· Proven track record in quality management within a technical department
· Exposure to international or multi-cultural environments would be an advantage
· Working knowledge or some experience of using and supporting ITIL processes
· Excellent working knowledge of ICT and Business processes
· Strong knowledge of MSOffice (specifically Excel, PowerPoint)
· Strong customer focus and a clear vision of what determines a successful solution for the customer and the company


Skills
· Proven Business Analysis skills together with strong technical ability
· Strong planning and organising skills
· Good negotiating and influencing skills
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact up to senior management level and external parties
· Experience of working with technical teams
· Ability to work effectively under pressure to tight deadlines

Education and Experience
· Minimum of 3 years experience in business/systems analysis
