Job Title - Microsoft .Net Developer

Duties and Responsibilities

Key tasks include:

• Development of a global trading application platform
• Working in a dedicated team to design, develop, test and deploy a MS .Net based global trading application platform
• Assist in the support and maintenance of the application platform
• Ensure detailed specifications, reviews and other relevant system documentation is produced and maintained
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with other teams and individual team members
• Deliver excellence in user experience and application quality

Knowledge and Experience

Qualifications:

• Third-level I.T qualification, closely related qualification or equivalent experience.
• Microsoft Certification(s) an advantage

Experience:

• 2 to 5 years+ experience in Microsoft .Net application development

Technical Skills:

• ASP .Net 3.5
• Oracle 10G Database
• SQL Server 2005 (2008 preferable)
• User interface design experience (e.g. Ajax, Silverlight)
• Web Services, XML, Soap
• Experience of MS SSIS, SSAS, SSRS desirable
• MS Sharepoint experience preferred
• Knowledge of MS Team Foundation Server & Subversion desirable

Other Skills:

• Understanding of insurance processes is desirable.
• Practical experience of design patterns and frameworks is desirable
• Strong business writing and presentation skills
