Ryanair slams 50pc hike in Airport parking

Irish low-cost carrier, Ryanair, today slammed the Taoiseach and
the Dublin Airport Authority for hiking Dublin Airport car parking
charges by 50pc on April 1

Ryanair accused Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern of "treating all
passengers at Dublin Airport as fools, by allowing his favourite
monopoly the DAA to increase car parking charges"

In his characteristic forthright manner, Chief Executive, Michael
O'Leary said that Brinks Allied were not the only people "robbed"
this week

"Starting tomorrow - April Fools Day - Bertie Ahern will allow the
DAA monopoly to increase parking charges by 50pc. This is nothing
short of daylight robbery of Irish consumers. Bertie Ahern
continues to treat visitors to this country and Irish passengers
as fools," he said

O'Leary accused the Taoiseach of dithering over the new terminal
at Dublin Airport and breaking election promises
