Chambers Ireland have started the International Trade Skillnet and they are offering financing of between 40-75% of course fees to eligible companies in Ireland.

You would start off with our Trade & Customs Practice course in November which would lead to the Fetac Level 5 Certificate in International Trade which is examined and certified through Chamber Business School.

The Learning path typically consists of :

Fetac international Trade Cert (based on Trade & Customs Practice course)
Time to complete: 2 months
Full Course Fee EUR 555

Then continuing on to

International Trade Specialist Accreditation Programme (consisting of Trade & Customs Practice Course which you will already have completed from the International trade cert), Finance of International Trade, eBusiness and Export Marketing Operations Course). This course then gives you full exemption from the Advanced Certificate in International Trade from the Institute of Export UK. Time to complete 2 months from the International Trade cert + 6 months for the remaining modules listed).
Full Course fee : EUR 1445 if you already did the first course.

Then you have the possibility to continue your studies to Diploma level through the Diploma in Export Operations from the Institute of International Trade of Ireland which consists of the Industry Trade Study mentioned Earlier, Supply Chain Management course, Export Marketing Management course and Law of International Trade course.
Time to complete 8 months.
Full Course Fee EUR 2,000.

** Certificate in Logistics

3 month e-learning course leading to a Certificate in Logistics from the Chartered institute of Logistics and Transport in Ireland. The certificate covers Logistics and Transport, Forecasting Logistics Requirements, Inventory Policy, Production Scheduling, Procurement, Outsourcing Supply Chain, Distribution Management and Logistics Customer Service.

** Certificate in Finance of International Trade including UCP 600

3 month e-learning course leading to a certificate in Finance of International Trade from the Institute of Export UK. The certificate covers the key areas of Trade Finance including Documentary Collections and Credits, Bonds and Guarantees, Import Credits, Factoring, Invoice Discounting and Forfaiting.

** Trade & Customs Practice

2 month e-learning course is essential for anyone working in any aspect of foreign trade and covers the core essentials of and Introduction to International Trade, International Transport and Logistics, Export Packaging, Marine Transport, International Modes of Transport, Documentation in International Trade, EU Customs Procedures, EU Import Procedures, Incoterms 2000, International Contracts.

** US Customs Procedures Course

During this 3 month programme course participants will be presented with the various aspects of the commercial importation process, as well as, many fundamental aspects of Title 19, Customs Duties, of the U.S. Federal Code of Regulations which govern all international trade activities in the United States of America.
