Position: Stock accountant

Globoforce is a leading worldwide provider of end-to-end solutions for motivational, loyalty, recognition, reward and incentive programs for Corporate Clients, both online and offline.

We are seeking a bright and ambitious individual to fill a key role within our finance department.

Position: Stock accountant. Initial three month contract with a view to a permanent position in 2008.

Responsibilities include:

• Reconciliation of stock inventories to stock system at month end.
• Analysis of stock open purchase orders and record associated month-end nominal ledger entries.
• Liaise with fulfillment and purchasing to resolve stock discrepancies.
• Prepare and analyze slow moving stock reports.
• Analysis of cost of sales and stock month end balances.
• Actively contribute to team meetings and the development of the finance department.
• Proactive in suggesting improvements and amending processes to improve efficiency where appropriate.

You will be required to contribute to the Month End process and the opportunity to assist other members of the finance department in the completion of various responsibilities.
PERSONAL SPECIFICATION / QUALIFICATIONS:
• Strong excel/pc background essential.
• Numerical aptitude, problem solver, excellent interpersonal skills, team player.
• Well-organised person with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with multi currency transactions.
• An assertive personality who is willing to offer constructive opinions on issues.
• Accounting background with reconciliation and cost analysis required.
• Access Accounts Ledger experience an advantage.
