As clinics stop methadone supply, pharmacists warn of Carnage on city’s streets
Наркоманы наступают?
И, кстати, где эта клиника на Amiens St? Не напротив ли Литуаники часом?

Pharmacists have warned of ‘carnage’ in Dublin today as more than 1,500 addicts descend on their last remaining methadone supply.
John Corr, chairman of the Irish Pharmacy Union’s Pharmacy Contractors Committee, accused the HSE of putting public order at risk by rerouting several hundred ‘unstable’ addicts to a single point.
As the pharmacist funding row continues, he said all the clinics that dispensed methadone – a synthetic drug given to heroin addicts – have ceased except one: Amiens Street City Clinic.
Of Ireland’s 5,000 methadone patients, 1,500 are in North Dublin.
The clinic had 500 patients assigned to it. ‘It is already bursting at the seams,’ said Mr Corr. ‘Now they are going to cram another 1,000 patients into that confined space... that is a recipe for carnage.
‘There is likely to be a crimewave, fairly swiftly. I’m worried there will be physical harm, be it self harm, or harm to each other, or harm to other people. We’re talking chaos here. I and hugely concerned on health and safety grounds for them as individuals, and for public disorder.
‘You are guaranteeing an incendiary situation. It has massive public disorder potential,’ he added. ‘There are ways to save money, and there are ways to be completely stupid.’
The HSE said the methadone scheme was separate from the State drug schemes and would not be affected by the pullout. ‘Pharmacies have not been withdrawing en masse,’ it said, adding that a ‘very small’ number had signalled their intention to cease dispensing methadone.
