WANTED: C++/C# Developer

Access Control Technology (www.accesscontrol.ie) is looking for a Software Engineer with at least 5 years experience in the field to join its existing team of developers (currently, one Ukrainian and one Russian).

Key knowledge for a possible candidate would be C++ under Visual Studio 6/7/8, fluency with MFC/STL/ATL/WTL, good Windows API knowledge, experience with third-party C++ libraries for UI, such as CodeJock or BCGSoft.

The company is moving from using DCOM into .NET, and mainly C# for ASP.NET, knowledge of all these technologies is therefore very important.

In the under-layer, focus is also on moving from MS-Jet & MS-SQL 2000 into MS-SQL 2005, so those are quite important too, including OLE DB templates.

Profound expertise is required with Microsoft SQL, mainly 2000/2005, plus good familiarity with MS-JET Engine.

Good knowledge of HTML, XHTML, XML, XSL + CSS and XSD is a big plus, as we have ongoing projects that make use of ASP.NET + C# with XML, XSL + CSS and XSD.

Other than that, the candidate must know Serial Communications, TCP-IP/UDP, preferable working with video and audio content, etc, awfully security stuff as the company’s name suggests

The social skills are essential: perfect English, being able to work with customers and management on an acceptable level.

The position needs to be filled immediately, but if the candidate is that good, we can wait for a month or so…

The pay is negotiable, and on the average is good, i.e. higher than the average for a similar position in the industry, say, not less than 50,000 (after a 6-month trial, of course).

The company is located in Tallaght, Dublin.
