А кто вам мешает создать параллельную тему о негативе? И вклеивайте туда весь негатив. А затем сравним чего больше. Просто нелогично вклеивать негатив в тему под названием "Позитив".

Кстати новость о Пфайзере - это лишь капля в море позитивных новостей.

А мне интересно, в этой стране кто-нибудь будет анализировать почему у Pfizer-а сокрашения? По новостям только промямлили что-то о сокращении издержек компании и о судьбе безработных.

Думаю что проанализируют все кому надо (официальная заявка от компании: оптимизация и реструктуризация после поглощения Wyeth).

Просто там действительно небольшое сокращение (всего 785 чел), причём в 3 населенных пунктах (Корк, Нюбридж и Дан Лири), и начнётся оно не сейчас, а аж через 18 месяцев и растянется затем ещё на 3.5 года (то есть на 5 лет начиная с сегодня). Обычно за такое время в подобных крупных организациях натуральным образом увольняется горадо больше людей чем эта цифра. Да и создаваться новых мест другими компаниями за эти 5 лет будет гораздо больше (достаточно перечитать предыдущие заголовки в этой теме).

Кстати ирландские 785 мест входят в глобальную цифру сокращения в 6,000 человек.

Если работа, которую они делали, была не нужна это одно, если Pfizer сокращает продажи это другое. Если их работу будут выполнять сотрудники Wyeth - это третье и т.п.
В каждом отдельном случае свои выводы и своё противоядие.

Не берусь судить но вполне возможно дублирование функций, вот поэтому от одной и избавляются. Это часто бывает после поглощений и слияний.

P.S. Как я уже писал выше, не хочу в теме "Позитив" обсуждать негатив, для этого лучше создать отдельную тему.

Dublin Port trade up for fifth month in a row

Dublin Port said today that trade volumes in April rose by 5.4% compared to the same month last year, the fifth consecutive monthly rise in trading activity.

The company said the growth was driven by exports, which increased by 13.5% on April last year, while imports for the month grew by 0.6%.

Ferry passengers were meanwhile up 40% on April 2009 figures, to 207,066. The increase was partly attributed to flight disruption caused by the ash crisis.

“Whatever way you look at Ireland’s current economic predicament there is only one solution: we’ve got to trade our way out of the problem and the figures from Dublin Port showing a trend of steady, incremental, increased trading activity for a sustained period of five months are encouraging in this regard," Dublin Port Chief Executive Enda Connellan said.

Economist Jim Power meanwhile said that increasing exports was of "paramount importance".

"While underlying economic challenges clearly remain, we should take a good deal of encouragement that exports through Dublin Port are 14.4% higher for the first four months of 2010 than the corresponding period last year," Mr Power said.

O2 set to announce jobs boost

O2 is to announce a jobs boost for their Irish operations later.

Around 150 people are expected to be recruited at the company's Dublin headquarters in an IDA-supported investment.

Taoiseach Brian Cowen will be on hand to unveil the details today.

O2 already employs around 1,300 people in Ireland.

Tesco deal to see Cork lighting firm create 25 new jobs

A Cork-based lighting firm is to create 25 new jobs after securing a major contract with Tesco.

Green technology produced by Nualight is to be implemented across Tesco stores in the UK and USA in a deal worth up to ?5m to the company in 2010, growing by up to ?10m by 2013.

The firm said it would create 25 new jobs including graduate export positions to add to the 55 currently employed, with employment likely to grow to 80 in the next two years.

The announcement was welcomed by Enterprise Minister Batt O'Keeffe, who said it emphasised how Irish companies could leverage their local relationship with multinationals to get business globally.

"Nualight is an example of the Smart and Green economies in action globally and we are very proud of the fact the company is now exporting to 20 countries," the minister said.

Tesco Ireland, where Nualight is a supplier, has facilitated the Irish lighting company’s access into the Tesco global network. Nualight was originally selected in October 2008 by Tesco Ireland to supply its Irish stores in a ?1m deal. The new deal enables Nualight to expand its relationship with Tesco beyond Tesco Ireland where it has already retrofitted 115 stores.

Nualight, founded in 2004 by Dr Liam Kelly, focuses exclusively on LED lighting for refrigerated display illumination for global food retail.

Its shareholders include Enterprise Ireland, ESB novusmodus, the green investment fund of the State electricity company, 4th Level Ventures, Climate Change Capital Ltd and the Quinn Family.

Software giant creates 75 jobs in Dublin

Around 75 jobs are to be created by one of the world’s top business software providers, enterprise chiefs said today.

German-based SAP/Business Objects is to expand its telesales and technical support functions in Dublin.

The development will see the company’s Irish workforce grow to more than 1,000.

IDA chief executive Barry O’Leary said the announcement marked a significant milestone for the firm.

“SAP/Business Objects is a key player in Ireland’s ICT sector and the commencement of recruitment of an additional 75 positions is welcome news,” he added.

“SAP has a reputation as a growth and innovation-led company and since setting up its first operation in Ireland has repeatedly upgraded its mandate here.”

The company, which came to Ireland in 1997, provides business software services and support for customers around the world.

It operates across two sites in Dublin and Galway, with a software development lab in the capital developing cutting-edge business analytics software.

Report: Firms that hire new workers 'to get PRSI holiday'

It has been speculated this morning that the Government is to introduce a a PRSI holiday for companies that hire new workers.

Enterprise Minister Batt O'Keefe is to introduce the new measure in an effort to lower unemployment levels.

The initiave will cut around ?3,000 off the cost of hiring new staff.

It will only apply to staff who have been unemployed for six months or more.

US web security firm Webroot to create 50 jobs in Dublin in 2 years

The Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Innovation, Batt O’Keeffe TD, today announced 50 jobs over the next 2 years in US web security firm Webroot, which is to establish its international headquarters in Dublin.

Webroot, based in Boulder, Colorado, was established in 1997 and develops internet security solutions for consumers and businesses. It protects corporate networks from online and internal threats and allows consumers to download music, store digital files, bank, shop and search safely. The 50 new employees, who will be based in Ballsbridge in Dublin, will initially work in areas such as sales, marketing, engineering, inventory and customer support.

Уважаемый, эта тема только про ПОЗИТИВ, ну не могу же я каждому вновь прибывшему обьяснять о том что для негатива лучше сделать отдельную тему под названием "Негатив", и клеить весь негатив туда. И будем там дискутировать негатив.

Ну а эти страшилки (на вашем линке) мы уже не раз обсуждали в темах про недвижимость и про долги. Вы можете их все перечитать.

Тема про позитив, а создание новых рабочих мест - это и есть наибольший позитив в нынешней ситуации. Перечитайте посты в этой теме за несколько последних месяцев и вы увидите что суммарно создаваемых рабочих мест не 50, а тысячи.
