Senior J2EE Developer

Park West based company require a Senior J2EE Developer for permanent employment. The ideal applicant must have at least 5 years experience of JBoss/Apache/Tomcat environments and strong Software Design skills. Oracle RDBMS experience is an advantage. The expected salary for this role range would be 45-55k but what we end up offering will depend a lot on the particular experience of the person receiving the offer and may fall outside of this guide range.

Here are some pointers about what to look for:

1. The candidate should have at least 5 years of J2EE development experience.
2. They should definitely have experience with either (Weblogic / JBoss or some other POPULAR Application Server), EJBs, JSP, JDBC, Oracle, MySQL, Tomcat
3. It would be nice if they had PL/SQL, Web Services (SOAP) Development Experience (Axis /.NET / etc), XSL
4. Experience of working on or building web sites is an advantage.

We have added to the list of requirements that candidates who do not have English as their mother tongue should be coming from another Irish company. This makes it easier to determine their proficiency at English and it's easier to set up an interview. Also, this is a more senior role where an ability to communicate successfully is very important. We are not interested in candidates that have no working experience in Ireland (or a country where it's convenient to get a decent reference). We are only interested in candidates who are either working in Ireland or have a reasonable amount of work experience in Ireland and are currently resident in Ireland.
