Cullen calls for new driving licence system

Following seven road deaths over the weekend, the Minister for Transport has said the driving licensing regime needs to be substantially changed.
Speaking on RTÉ Radio, Mr Cullen said he favoured a graduated licensing system that was 'very restrictive' when it came to drivers getting their first licence.
He said in many countries drivers were required to pass their tests in a range of different weather conditions and this produced more rounded drivers.
Mr Cullen said the provisional licence system in Northern Ireland would need to be replicated here and that it may be possible to fit speed limiters to cars.
Àlso speaking on RTÉ Radio, the chief executive of the Road Safety Authority, Noel Brett, said further road education needed to be targeted at young drivers.

Интересно, есть где-нибудь статистика по машинам? Что-то думается мне что 60-70% фаталити получается внутри коробченок типа Корсы-Маикры-Яриса итд, просто по причине того, что там железо про сминании быстрее достанет до людей..
