Position:


Superquinn has a vacancy for a Commercial Accountant in the Commercial Finance Team. This is a 12 month contract. The Commercial Accountant will work as a member of the Commercial Finance Team. This role will report directly to the Commercial Finance Manager.



The main initial responsibilities will be:



Ø Evaluation and analysis of past promotions and making recommendations based on findings to the business

Ø Costing of future promotional activity.

Ø Assisting with the development of the weekly reporting process

Ø Preparation of ad hoc management information reports for both finance and non finance for decision making purposes

Ø Work with the trading team on the quarterly budgeting process

Ø Preparation of monthly margin figures for management accounts

Ø Detailed analysis of sales and margins by store and by department and identifying trends from this

Ø Work on ad hoc business improvement projects as desired by the business.

Candidate Profile:


Ø Qualified Accountant – ideally CIMA or ACCA qualified with 3+ year PQE working within a Retail or FMCG environment.

Ø Strong analytical skills coupled with commercial business awareness.

Ø Strong minded individual comfortable dealing with all levels of management.

Ø Strong IT skills especially Excel. (ERP Experience is essential)

Ø Able to work under extreme time pressure

Ø Dynamic with demonstrated track record of achievement

Ø Be a team player but also have ability to use own initiate

Ø A driven individual who wants to challenge the status quo.

Ø Strong Communication & Presentation skills
