URGENT ROLE! Senior Web Designer / Developer / Creative Designer – Are you the right person or do you know someone who is? Major role

Salary up to ?100,000, with bonus (up to 20%), onsite canteen, onsite gym, work life balance plan, healthcare and much more.

Senior Web Designer required to take responsibility for the overall flow and design of a leading online company (over 50+ websites). Work closely with Senior Management, Creative Director and Lead UI Designer to oversee the overall look, feel, design and ultimately user experience of a high number of web sites.


You will be guide the creation of UI wire frames (with the Lead UI Designer), and oversee the creation of compositions of these wire frames with the Creative Director.

A deep understanding of the company’s target audiences, their behaviours, needs and expectations must be developed and incorporated into a comprehensive vision for the web design of all web properties.


Your will be responsible for:

Devising solutions that balance user goals and business goals while fitting within the constraints of brand, time, budget, and technology

Innovating ways to solve challenging business and user experience problems

Developing functional prototypes of web pages and web sites

Developing user, functional and business specifications

Specifying UX blueprints that provide the foundation for proposed solutions

Utilising best practices such as personas, use case scenarios, user models, web analytics, process and workflows, wireframes, design prototypes, interaction models, and functional design specifications

Working with UI designer on planning, co-ordinating and conducting user research, participatory design and usability testing sessions

Effectively orchestrate and communicate research findings, conceptual ideas, detailed designs, and design rationales

Staying abreast of emerging trends and technologies

Directing team members on all aspects of UX design implementation


Skills / Experience Required:

Five to seven years of user interface design experience
Bachelors Degree or MSc or equivalent work experience
Strong knowledge of user interface design processes and methodology, particularly as applied to websites and web-based applications
Knowledge of CSS, PHP, dynamic HTML, Javascript, and Flash
Experience with web 2.0 and rich Internet concepts and delivery methodologies

5+ years in-depth experience with the following skills: information architecture and user-centred design processes, techniques, and tools; writing; interactive design; interface design; and usability


Portfolio of URL’s of live or archived websites delivered over the last 5 years.
