Получил "внутреннее" письмо относительно новой системы пермитов. Оказывается, скоро будут вводить еще и reaearcher visa.
****************** Please find attached a brief explanatory note listing the effects of the new work permit changes introduced by the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment on the 24th January 2007. These changes apply to employees of Universities only. The cost of work permits has increased to a minimum of ?500 for 6 months and ?1,000 for a work permit longer than 6 months. The HR office will be working very closely with the Irish University Association (IUA) over the coming months to ensure that the new Researcher Visa will suit our requirements. Work Permits – what the changes mean for NUI Galway employees. The Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment introduced changes to the current work permit system and these changes came into effect on 1st February 2007. The impact of these changes is as follows: 1. Work Authorisation Visas – no longer being issued to new employees since 1st January 2007. Existing employees with work authorisation visas can continue to renew their visas with the Garda National Immigration Bureau (GNIB). 2. Hosting Agreement/Researcher Visa - The introduction of this visa was announced by the Minister for DETE in November 2005 but has not yet been agreed. It is expected that this ‘Hosting Agreement/Researcher Visa’ will be introduced by October 2007. (IUA to confirm deadline date with DETE). The expected advantage to this visa is that it will be valid for the duration of the Researcher contract, will reduce costs, will be easier to renew and would not require researchers from ‘visa required’ countries to apply for the re-entry visa. 3. New Green Card - Will not apply to researchers. 4. Work Permits - Renewal work permits will be issued up to end of 2007 only as an interim measure to allow for the introduction and transfer of employees to the new Hosting Agreement/Researcher Visa. New application form will apply for work permits. 5. Work Permits for new short term Research Contracts - will be applied for until the introduction of the new Hosting Agreement/Researcher Visa. 6. Costs – Work permit costs have increased to: ?500 – for a work permit for less than six (6) months ?1000 – for a work permit for six (6) months and above (until end 2007) 7. Distribution – Work permits will no longer be sent to the employer but rather directly to the employee, by regular post. A certified copy of the work permit will be sent to the employer. 8. Recognition of Academics – The changes to the work permit scheme did not include Academics earning less than ?60,000 per annum. The IUA are trying to resolve this matter with the DETE. 9. Maximum amount of work permit renewals – Existing employees with 60 months continual work permits will be issued with an indefinite work permit. This applies to service in any Irish University. For example, an employee who worked in UCD for two years and then three years in NUIG would get an indefinite work permit. 10. Romanian and Bulgarian staff – with 12 months service up to 31st December 2006 no longer need to apply for work permits and visas. Those with less than 12 months employment service need to apply for a work permit to bring them up to 12 months and after that no longer need a work permit. Romanian and Bulgarian staff commencing employment after 1st January 2007 need a work permit.
