Globoforce’s systems infrastructure team is looking to hire a knowledgeable and dedicated systems administrator with excellent skills in open source technologies and a very customer focused mindset. Supporting the back end systems as well as internal users, the potential candidate will be working as part of a team dedicated to keeping the Globoforce systems and users operating 24/7.


Main responsibilities:

• Implementation and support of web and back office infrastructure
• Driving ongoing systems infrastructure enhancements and direction
• Investigating new technologies and potential use in Globoforce
• Consulting and important point of contact for other IT departments on key infrastructure issues and security
• Ongoing security enhancements and compliance with certified standards
• Backup for Helpdesk and user support personnel
• Potential on-call out of hours support
• Potential international travel

Skills Required:

• Proficient in Linux especially OpenSuSE and RHEL/CentOS
• Open source technologies (configuration and support):
o Apache
o MySQL
o Jboss
o Postfix
o Samba
o Linux Virtual Server
o OpenVPN
o FTP/SFTP/FTPS
o Iptables
o Zimbra



• Solid experience with MS Active Directory configuration, maintenance, concepts
• MS Exchange configuration, migration, troubleshooting
• VMWare ESX hosts
• Equilogic SAN
• Sonicwall NSA Firewalls
• Windows 2008 Server
• Basic Oracle 10g administration
• Security awareness
• Excellent communication skills
• Project planning and reporting
• Team leading experience



Experience:

• 4-5 Years of IT industry experience with at least 3 years in a Systems Administration role
• Experience in a Helpdesk environment
