JAVA DEVELOPERS: Client-side Developers for Client/Server Architectures
Location: Cork

Qualifications & experience :

• Third Level Degree/Masters in computer-related discipline
• 5 years+ development experience with at least 3 years hands-on experience in Java technologies

Technical Skills: Required implementation experience in all of the following technologies:

• Strong Java/J2SE
• Swing or other UI development
• MVC
• OOA&D
• Embedded application development experience for Java Micro Edition (or J2ME) is an advantage
• Developing for TV experience a strong advantage

Key Requirements:

• Excellent communications and analytical skills, both oral and written.
• Proven ability to be a self starter.
• Self-motivated and able to handle multiple tasks.
• Expert troubleshooting skills
• Ability to analyze data and problems.
• Knowledge of design patterns.
• English: Fluent

Advantage:

• Video/Media analysis
• AWT
• ANT or Maven
• HTML, CSS
• Experience with an agile software development process is a plus
• Linux/Unix
• Proven and demonstrable track record of on time delivery in a project involving self-management of tasks
