IBM Expands SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT LABS in Ireland

IBM Draws on Skilled Workforce to Fuel Tivoli Software Development


Dublin, Ireland - March 27, 2007: IBM (NYSE: IBM) has announced it will expand its operations in Ireland, adding investments to its IBM Tivoli software development labs in Cork and Galway.

This initiative follows IBM's acquisition of Vallent Corporation and will help accelerate the creation of products for IBM’s Tivoli software group that focuses on the service management marketplace.

IBM will create up to 130 new roles -- including new opportunities for technology graduates and telecoms professionals -- in an IDA (Industrial Development Agency) Ireland - supported IBM investment of up to ?24 million over the next three years. Today’s announcement builds upon IBM’s deep R&D commitment focused on the designing and developing first-of-a-kind solutions that respond to customers' computing challenges.
