St. Kilian's is seeking a bright energetic and enthusiastic graduate marketing executive to assist in further developing and delivering a new marketing and communications policy in accordance with the objectives set out by the Principal and Board of Management (BoM) from time to time.
The role of the successful candidate will be to work with the school management, staff and stakeholders as directed by, and report to, the Principal and Board of Management. They will be required to establish new marketing procedures by way of e-marketing and traditional marketing methods. They will be particularly required to engage in the development of a new unified web presence for the school, the parent association and the alumni membership.
The candidate will be required to become involved in the school life including the extracurricular activities of the pupils in sport, drama, debating, etc. in order to report and disseminate the news of the school through the website and through all other appropriate media. They will be required to have time flexibility in the performance of the job to ensure that the marketed message is captured and delivered to the school audience and to the wider public. This may involve evening and weekend work. By corollary, the workload will be significantly reduced in the normal school holiday periods, which may suit certain applicants.
They will be expected to create and publish at agreed regular intervals a school news periodical and be involved with the management and staff in assisting them in the generation of the annual yearbook and other school publications.
They will be required to ensure that all news, important events, school bulletins and other communications from the school’s management, the board of management and other authorised persons in the school are promptly and accurately reported.
Fluency in English is essential and in German would be an advantage but not necessarily a requirement of the job. A good working knowledge of web marketing techniques and web site management is required with good general computer skills. A demonstrable high level of competence with Microsoft Office (and MS-Word in particular) is expected. Practical experience with Photoshop required. Any experience with Joomla considered an advantage. Experience of use of another web content management system (CMS) will also be taken into consideration. Any previous experience in website management or development should be reference in the application.
The candidate will ideally have a qualification in one of the established marketing colleges.
