We need a dedicated & skilled UI person for the product management team.
The role is permanent (6 month probation) and based in Dublin 4.

User Interface Designer

Job Purpose:
To create a successful user experience by studying user interests; developing and organizing the interaction, information and interface design; and developing and testing prototypes.
Responsibilities:

• Enhance and maintain the interaction, information and interface design of the ammado site and related products.
• Adhere strictly to the production schedule by coordinating UI requirements among developers, BAs and QA.
• Develop the information structure by studying product/service content; analyzing user goals and target audience; conducting focus groups, user interviews, and surveys; and contributing to the information architecture.
• Create visualizations and mockups of content and prepare storyboards applying the principles of human-computer interaction, comprehension, learning, and aesthetics.
• Develop prototypes by creating look and feel of varying concepts and functionalities; structuring information filtering and retrieval; coordinating UI UATs and graphics with BAs, QA and developers; testing prototypes; observing usability; defining specifications.
• Document actions and decisions by creating functional descriptions and schematics.
• Provide guidance on latest web interface design patterns (must remain current with best practices through reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations).

Skills/Qualifications:
Experience in web user interface design; usability testing; web graphic design; web programming.
Skills: excellent problem solving and requirements analysis skills; verbal, graphical and written communication skills. Must understand customer focus and browser capabilities.
Preferable to have worked previously in an agile development environment within a commercial web-based enterprise.
