Hi all -

This year as part of the promotion of the People's Photography 2010 we are inviting everyone on our mailing list (and their friends!) to submit images which can be used for publicity generation purposes.

Any images chosen would be used for publicity: press release, flyers etc. Framed copies of images could be used for prizes for competitions e.g. radio stations could give them away. Individual maybe could appear on TV (if they were happy to do so).

How the pictures will be used and how widely they will be seen will ultimately be determined by the success of our PR campaign.
Submission Guidelines

Our PR rep is seeking strong pictures of:
· Stephen’s Green OR just off Stephen’s Green OR people in Stephen’s Green

· Pictures not just of a park but something to attract attention e.g. something creative for Irish Times Weekend Supplement or girls in bikinis for The Sun! The Indo would be somewhere in between. Perhaps a "teaser" picture with someone showing works in Stephen's Green.

· Idea is to get a few cool pictures that will attract a picture editor's attention.

· A picture that tells a story so that it draws people's attention e.g. oh look....that's Stephen's Green....what's that happening there....prompts people to read the article...

· Pictures need to be under 4 MB @ 300dpi or higher and need to be fully captioned in meta data - where taken, what's happening, photographer, date, etc. Without this info picture editors will ignore photos.

· Closing date in 4 weeks


This is a great opportunity for all the creative photographers out there to get busy and come up with something striking. If you can dig into your archive and find something you already have that's great too!

Images selected will benefit the photographer with recognition / publicity, which could suit some of you that may be seeking to raise their profile. If you'd like to participate without being named that, of course, is fine too.
