Principles goes bust, 250 jobs to go

Women's fashion chain, Principles, has gone in to liquidation,
putting 250 Irish workers out of a job

The British company has outlets across Ireland including
concessions in Arnotts, Debenhams and stores in Blanchardstown,
Dundrum, Arklow, Blackrock and Limerick amongst others

Mosaic Fashions, the parent company of Principles, has offloaded
the rest of its brands, including Oasis, Warehouse and Coast,
following its move into administration earlier this month

The Principles brand was created in 1984 to provide clothing aimed
at 'career women at affordable prices', developing its focus on to
fashion for the '30-something' customer
