Mondello Park Clicks Into 'OVERDRIVE' With Xtreme Promotions
Irelands premier motoring venue 'Mondello Park' and leading Modified Show promoters 'Xtreme Promotions' are set to join forces for the biggest extreme auto show of the year. Xtreme's status as market leaders in the modified show market and the unique features of Mondello Park will combine to present 'OVERDRIVE', a new concept that for the first time will combine static and performance competitions with on track action and a host of custom and specialist car displays.

OVERDRIVE will be a single day show taking place on Sunday September 26th at Mondello Park and making use of the Co. Kildare venue's 100 acre site to present the most comprehensive extreme car show yet seen in Ireland. The unique layout of Mondello Park will allow Xtreme Promotions to showcase a number of activities, which would ordinarily be forced to run at separate events.

One of the main attractions will be the 'Drifting Arena', which will be located on the International loop offering many excellent vantage points for spectators. Drifting requires drivers to drive the circuit while 'drifting' the tail of the car, the aim being to keep the tail of the car in a slide for an entire lap of a circuit that includes a number of changes of direction as well as long straights. Additional exciting on track activities will be announced over the coming weeks.

OVERDRIVE will give owners of modified cars a unique opportunity to try their cars performance out on the Mondello track. The Drag sprint will pitch drivers and their cars against each other over a short 'drag' race to decide who has the top modified car in a number of categories. The top cars will then have the opportunity to test their cars performance against the best that Motorsport has to offer in the 'Road-Race Run Off'.

Off track, the action will be equally as spirited as competitors battle it out in the 'In Car Entertainment' (ICE), 'Styling' and 'Show & Shine' competitions. The top award of 'Car of the Show' will be presented to the ultimate car on show at OVERDRIVE taking into account tuning, styling, ICE and interior modifications and presentation.

With a huge number of entries expected for all categories OVERDRIVE will have lots to see and do for show visitors. On top of the Modified Car element of the exhibition there will be many other vehicles on display including Custom Car Clubs and a number of car owners clubs. Additional attractions are currently being finalised and will be announced shortly for what will be the biggest and best gathering of performance car enthusiasts of the year.
