Local GPs get ?6.6m from HSE in medical card payments

The fees include payments earned through the GMS scheme for public patients, as well as practice support for GPs, including the employment of practice nurses and receptionists.

According to the HSE ?the increased level of pyaments reflects and increasing and ageing population and an increasing number of people eligible to claim under HSE funded schemes.?

More than 60 million transactions were processed in 2006, an increase of more than four million on the previous year.

The granting of non-means tested medical cards to people aged 70 years and over, contributed to this increase.

The highest amount paid to any GP in the north east was made to Dr Murphy and Dr Stewart of the Mosney Health Centre, Co Meath, who received ?484,280.

Dr Shane Gleeson, Donaghmore, was the highest earning GP in the Dundalk areas, receiving ?428,774, while Dr John Whately, Park Avenue was paid ?420,272.

A payment of ?320,641 was made to Dr John McKeown, Carlingford Medical Centre.

Dr Noeleen Mangan, Carroll Village Medical Centre, received ?284,567, while Dr Bart Cullen, Omeath, was paid ?275,753.

Dr Paul O?Reilly, the Medical Centre, Demense Road, received ?267,855 and Dr Paul McCarthy, Barronstown, was paid ?261,543.

A payment of ?257,606 was paid to Dr Thomas Joseph Hogan, Dublin Street, ?230,149 to Dr Patrick Byrne, Mount Avenue, and ?222,405 to Dr Fiona Henry, Dublin Street.

Dr David Connolly, Roden Court, received ?213,870, while Dr Chris Fingleton, Blackrock was paid ?201,780, and Dr Pascal Malone, Ravensdale got ?197,233.

Dr Liam McGrath, Jocelyn Street was paid ?193,902, Dr Dara Mishra, St. Alphonsus Road, received ?190,955 and Dr Mary Grehan, The Surgery, Dundalk Shopping Centre was paid ?186,506.

A payment of ?180,492 was made to Dr Declan Connolly, The Laurels, while Dr John Murphy, Blackrock, received ?175,985, and Dr Grace Kenny, Jocelyn Street, ?128,924.

Dr Michael Kiernan, Castletown Road, was paid ?123,315, Dr Siobhan McDonald, Blackrock Surgery, ?119,560, Dr Sarah O?Brien, Roden Court, ?75,599, and Dr John Kennedy, c/o Dr Murphy, Blackrock, received ?66,262.

In Ardee, Dr David O?Neill was paid ?228,226,

Dr Noel McCarthy, received ?176,571, Dr Frank Fenton, ?158,189, Dr Eleanor Ward, ?142,074, and Dr Eugene Murray, ?136,244.

Dunleer GP Dr Patrick O?Donoghue, was paid ?243,171.

вот это мой джипи, сидит себе такой пенек лет под 70 а может больше как то от бронхита назначил мне ломовой антибиотик на 3 месяца приема, я конечно его не пил столько, потом приехав домой сделал карту восприятия на антибиотики, оказалось что группа назначенная мне моим джипи, только вредит флоре кишечника, толку от него ноль, как впрочем и от этого джипи.
