There's storytelling, readings and talks from some of Ireland's top writers for children AND adults on 14th June in Cabinteely Park - and it's all FREE!

On Saturday June 14th widely acclaimed authors Cathy Kelly, Pauline McLynn, Marita Conlon McKenna, Martina Devlin, Don Conroy, Liz Weir, Joe O'Brien, Oisin McGann and Derek Landy take their books - and their genius - to Cabinteely Park for a fantastic FREE event for all the family.

Books in the Park, programmed by irrepressible author, children's book advocate and all-round supermom Sarah Webb, is a lively, fun day featuring a host of top authors and lots of other activities including face painters, children's entertainment, a café area, a bookshop, signing sessions with the authors and even tours of the gorgeous Cabinteely House itself.

With talks for adults on how to get in touch with your inner novel, and just exactly what goes on in the mind of a writer - and children's events from storytelling to drawing and everything in between, this promise to be a truly special event for booklover sof all ages!

Author/Illustrator Oisin McGann does what he does best! (ages 6+)

16.15 - 16.45: Skulduggery Pleasant - Playing with Fire
Derek Landy, author of the brilliant Skulduggery Pleasant books, talks about his world-famous skeleton detective - and Stephanie, of course. (age 7+)
