Dublin ranked eighth in quality of life

Dublin ranks eighth in the EU for quality of life and 23rd in the
world, according to a survey by Mercer Human Resource Consulting.

Zurich and Geneva are the world's best cities for overall quality
of life. Geneva moves up from second place last year and pushes
Vancouver down a place.

This move takes account of Geneva's schools where standards of
education, both in public and private schools, are now rated among
the best in the world.

Vienna tops the EU capital city rankings for overall quality of
life

US cities have slipped in the rankings this year as tighter
restrictions have been imposed on entry to the country. Honolulu
and San Francisco rank highest, both at position 24. Atlanta ranks
lowest at position 66

Increased security checks on arrivals and departures from the
country are cited as one of the main factors in pulling US cities
down the rankings.

Baghdad is now the world's least attractive city for expatriates.
Its ranking has dropped due to ongoing concerns over security and
the city's precarious infrastructure.
